The tricone rock bit is the most widely used drilling bit. When the tricone rock bit is working, the cutting teeth alternately contact the bottom of the hole, the rock break torque is small, the contact area between the cutting teeth and the bottom hole is small, the specific pressure is high, and it is easy to drill into the formation; the total length of the working edge is large, so the wear is relatively reduced. Tricone rock bits can adapt to a variety of formations from soft to hard.
 
Glorytek can supply tricone rock bits sizes ranging from 3 7/8 " to 26" , which can be applied to different formations from soft to very hard. Those designs are compatible with different drilling technologies such as conventional drilling and directional drilling.
 
 

 
Tricone bit is mainly used in oil and gas well,water well, and geothermal well drilling engineering. Glorytek tricone bits are designed and manufactured according to the standard of oil drilling bit, which are long life service, high drilling efficiency and low operation cost.

1. Tungsten carbide compacts in the shirttail protect the leg and body in abrasive formations and deviated or horizontal wells.

2. More tungsten carvide inserts are placed in the gauge to reduce the wear in the abrasive formation. It can increase the stability and life of the bit.

3. Protects shirttail and reduces thermal effect on sealling and enhances durability and ROP of the bit.

4. It is suitable for very soft formation with low compressive strength and high drillability, such as clay, mudstone, gypsum and soft limestone, etc.
